Artist Statement

My current work reflects my love of firing in a wood kiln. The wood-firing process brings together community in effort and spirit. This, combined with the alchemy of earth, wood and fire is what brings my work to life. The intimacy of the firing is evident on each piece in its own original fashion. This spontaneity is what makes me continue my exploration of clay.
